177 cases of H1N1 detected, but no need to panic: BBMP Commissioner

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara held a meeting with health department officials in Bengaluru on Sunday. Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officials, Mayor Gangambike and BBMP officials were also present in the meeting. After the meeting, Manjunath Prasad, Commissioner of BBMP while commenting on H1N1 flu virus said, “Till now we have identified 177 cases, out which 37 are from outside Bengaluru.” The Commissioner also said that there was no need to raise alarm and panic at the present time.
