3 cops suspended for assaulting child in Raipur, video goes viral

A video of police personnel assaulting a child went viral. The incident took place on August 9 at Sarona railway station. The area falls under Amanaka police station area. The child, who was being harassed, was allegedly a pickpocketer. The clip was made by a passenger sitting inside a train. Police took cognisance of the matter and suspended the three constables. The constables have been identified as Anil Rajput, Mukesh Thakur and Krishna Rajpoot. A departmental inquiry against the trio has also been ordered.
