8000 metric tonnes onion rot in open air in Bhopal

At least 8,000 metric tonnes of onion has gone bad due to the alleged mismanagement and carelessness of the administration in Bhopal's Karond Mandi. Storing large quantities of the vegetable being in the open air in monsoon season could be a probable reason. Frequent and incessant rainfall is adding to the woes of farmers who expected a good earning by auctioning their produce. The state administration has assured to find a solution for the problem. Major parts of the nation are witnessing frequent drizzles and rains, with a dip in temperature, amid the present weather conditions.
