Actor Payal Rohatgi was sent to judicial custody for eight days on Monday. She was sent to custody by a court in Rajasthan's Bundi. She had been arrested from her Ahmedabad residence over a complaint filed by a Congress worker. The complainant, Charmesh Sharma, had accused her of posting 'obnoxious and controversial' content regarding the Nehru-Gandhi family. Congress parliamentarian Shashi Tharoor, while calling the actor's claims tasteless and false, also opposed her arrest.
