Ajay Maken resigns as Delhi Congress chief citing health issues

Congress Delhi Chief Ajay Maken resigned on Friday. Congress president Rahul Gandhi accepted his resignation. Maken cited health issues as the reason for resignation from the party. He also took to Twitter and extended gratitude to the party, its workers, the media who covered the party events and president Rahul Gandhi for showing affection towards Maken.
Maken had taken over as Delhi Congress president four years ago.
