Army observes Infantry Day to mark 1947 war against Pakistani intruders

Indian Army chief General Bipin Rawat visited the National War Memorial in Delhi. He laid a wreath at the memorial and also signed the visitors' book. Army chief visited the memorial on the occasion of the 73rd Infantry Day. Infantry Day is observed to mark the landing of first Indian troops in J&K in 1947. The Indian troops had been dispatched to counter Pakistani intruders.
