Assembly Elections 2017: It was PM Modi vs Rahul Gandhi all the way

Counting for the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections is taking place on December 18, 2017. BJP looks set to wrest Himachal from Congress and retain Gujarat. The results are being seen as a preview of 2019 Lok Sabha elections. That may be the reason, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi were the focus of the campaign in the two states and local issues and leaders took a backseat.
