ATMs go dry, Arun Jaitley says problem is temporary

Many states like Delhi, Maharashtra, UP, Telangana and Rajasthan among others have reported that ATMs are either not working or have no cash. Many on twitter, including Mamata Banerjee and Sitaram Yechury, are saying that it is a reminder of the cash crunch situation which was created after demonetisation was announced in November, 2016. Union Minister for Finance, Arun Jaitley, has tweeted that the problem is temporary because of 'sudden and unusual increase' in some areas and that there is more than adequate currency in circulation.
