Babri demolition: BJP leader Kalyan Singh appears before court, gets bail

BJP leader Kalyan Singh appeared before court in connection with the Babri masjid demolition case. This was the first time that Kalyan Singh appeared in court in connection with the case since he earlier enjoyed immunity as the governor of Rajasthan. The BJP leader was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh. Kalyan Singh had rejoined the BJP on September 9, after his term as governor ended. Speaking to the media earlier in the day, Kalyan Singh had said that he would cooperate with the court.
