‘If Sardar Patel meets Modiji…’: BJP, Cong, TMC face off on CAB

Leaders of BJP, Congress and TMC debated over the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019 (CAB) in Rajya Sabha. The bill was moved in the Rajya Sabha by the Union home minister Amit Shah on December 11. Congress MP Anand Sharma said that the bill hurts the soul of India. BJP leader, JP Nadda said that the bill is not in interest of any particular party or region but in the interest of the country. Speaking on the bill, TMC leader, Derek O'Brien said that there will be a people's movement against CAB.
