Chhattisgarh: 4 Naxals, 1 cop killed during encounter in Rajnandgaon

Four Naxals were gunned down by security forces in Chhattisgarh's Rajnandgaon. A policeman lost his life in the encounter. The slain Naxals included two women. The gun battle took place on Friday night in Pardhoni village under Manpur Police Station limits. Incident happened when a team of security forces was out on counter-insurgency operation. Acting on a tip-off about presence of ultras in village, security forces launched operation. One AK-47 rifle, 1 SLR weapon and two 315 bore rifles were recovered. Reinforcement was rushed to the spot and bodies of the martyred cop & Naxals were evacuated out of the forest.
