Constitutional power shouldn’t be misused: DK Shivakumar on ED case
Updated on Mar 05, 2020 11:15 am IST
Congress leader DK Shivakumar spoke to Hindustan Times' Amrita Madhukalya after being granted bail in a case of alleged money laundering. Shivakumar maintained that the case is politically-driven. He said that he and his family are law-abiding citizens. The Karnataka leader had been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on September 3, 2019. He was granted bail on October 23 by Delhi High Court. The judge had said that the agency hadn't shown any material to suggest that Shivakumar was a flight risk. He also said that the Congress leader couldn't tamper with evidence as the documents were with the investigation agencies.
