‘Don’t move towards one nation, one party’: Opposition boycotts Rajya Sabha
Congress MP and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad slammed the government over the suspension of 8 MPs. He said that the lack of time was the biggest point of contention and said that the ruckus on Sunday was a culmination of the MPs' grievances over not being able to express their voice. Azad also said that there has to be coordination between the government and the opposition but there should never be coordination between the government and the chair. Azad said that all a18 parties were on one side while there was just one party on the other side and yet there was no voting on resolution or division of votes. Azad said that the government should now ensure farmers through a bill that private players will not buy farm produce below the MSP. He also added that the opposition would boycott proceedings of the house till the suspension of the 8 Rajya Sabha members of parliament is revoked. Watch the full video for all the details.
