Trump repeats Kashmir mediation offer, says ‘will do the best I can’

US President Donald Trump repeated his Kashmir mediation offer. “Will do the best I can (to help) to mediate or do something,” he said. Trump sought to portray Kashmir issue as a result of differences between Hindu and Muslims. He said that he would meet PM Modi over the weekend on the sidelines of the upcoming G-7 summit in France's Biarritz. Earlier too, the US President offered to mediate on the Kashmir issue. He had claimed that PM Modi sought his help with the issue. India had, however, rejected Trump's claim of PM Modi seeking help to resolve the issue.
