‘Doubt govt’s intentions’: Congress opposes amendments to anti-terror bill

Congress MPs opposed the amendments to the UAPA bill in the Rajya Sabha on Friday. Former Home Minister P Chidambaram led the Congress' onslaught in the upper house and alleged that they are not against fight on terror but against certain provisions proposed by the government. Congress MP Digvijaya Singh slammed the Modi government and said that they doubt their intentions. He also added that the Congress has always had a tough stand on terror and it was the BJP which compromised in the fight against terror twice.
