Watch: Drones & sirens used to scare away crop-eating locusts in Rajasthan

Swarms of locusts continue to invade parts of Rajasthan. Farmers of cotton and sugarcane are among the worst-sufferers. Several ways of creating noise are being adopted by farmers to scare away locusts. People also banged utensils to scare away swarm of desert locusts. Agriculture Department used drones to monitor movement of locusts in Jaipur's Samode. Locusts were scared away by the district administration in Panna using police sirens. Locusts are a type of species of the short-horned grasshoppers who primarily destroy crops.
