Dussehra fest: PM Modi shoots arrow at Ravana effigy, chants ‘jai shri Ram’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended Dussehra festivities at the DDA Ground in Delhi's Dwarka. He offered prayers to Ram, Sita, Shiv and Hanuman. He also watched Ramleela and addressed the crowd at the event. For Diwali, PM exhorted the people to felicitate, at the local level, girls who had made significant achievements. Towards the end of the event, PM Modi shot an arrow at an effigy of Ravana, following which the effigy burst into flames.
