Foundation stone of APJ Kalam’s memorial laid in Rameswaram

The foundation stone of the National Memorial of late former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was laid at Peikarumbu, his burial site in Rameswaram Island today. A statue of the former president was also unveiled by Venkaiah Naidu and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar. To mark the first death anniversary of former President, the Ministry of Defence has planned to host a number of events. An exhibition named “Mission of Life” depicting the life of Kalam and his achievements towards nation building will also be inaugurated.
