GST Council: No rate hike despite revenue squeeze; lottery rate made uniform

The 38th GST Council meeting was held in Delhi amid a revenue squeeze. The Council refrained from hiking Goods and Services Tax rates. The Council also voted for a uniform rate of 28% on lotteries. Annual date of GSTR 9 filing will be extended to Jan 31, 2020. Late fee waiver for those who haven't filed GSTR 1 from July 2017 to November 2019.
