Gurpurab: Fireworks, celebrations at Golden Temple, Ber Sahib Gurudwara

Guru Nanak Jayanti celebrations were held across India on Tuesday. Fireworks were seen at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Devotees also lit diyas and candles there. Massive celebrations were also held at Ber Sahib Gurudwara in Punjab's Sultanpur Lodhi. Performers enacted scenes and instances from Guru Nanak's life. This was the first Sikh Guru's 550th birth anniversary and also witnessed the historic opening of the Kartarpur corridor between India and Pakistan for movement of Sikh pilgrims.
