Haryana CM vs Home minister: Anil Vij says CID withholding intel, ‘peace at risk’
Updated on Mar 13, 2020 12:37 am IST
Home Minister of Haryana sought the removal of the head of the state police's intelligence wing. Anil Vij complained that the Central Investigation Department (CID) chief was withholding intelligence inputs from him, and thus endangering 'peace, tranquility, and harmony' in the state. Control of the CID has emerged as a flashpoint between the Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, and Vij. The CM has retained control of the CID instead of alloting it to Vij who holds the Home portfolio.
