Updated on Mar 09, 2020 02:13 am IST
Shiv Sena took potshots at the Union government during a debate on the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 in Rajya Sabha. Sanjay Raut said that those opposing the bill were being labelled traitors. He also said that those against the bill were being accused of talking like Pakistan. To this, Raut said that the debate was underway in Indian Parliament and not 'Pakistan assembly'. He also said that those being given citizenship shouldn't be given voting rights for a couple of decades to maintain 'balance' in the nation.
