Updated on Mar 19, 2018 07:01 pm IST
Yogi Adityanath completed one year as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on 19 March. He moved into action in his first week by shutting down illegal slaughterhouses in the state. However, a ripple effect was felt on even the legal meat shops and restaurants. He set up 'Anti-Romeo Squads' to curb the harassment of women but they ended up moral policing couples on the streets. He also came down hard on the cheating mafia of the state which made nearly 11 lak students drop out from the UP board exam.
