Anti-CAA stir: Protesters clash with cops in Jamia after man fires at crowd

Protests intensified near Jamia Millia Islamia University after a man opened fire at the crowd earlier on Thursday. Protesters gathered in large numbers near Jamia University. Several protesters clashed with the police. The Police had barricaded the area. People were seen moving over the barricades. This comes after a man opened fire at protesters earlier in the day. The attacker, identified as Gopal, was seen brandishing a gun and injured a student. Police detained the attacker. Meanwhile, activist Yogendra Yadav was detained by the police near Delhi Gate area where people had formed a human chain.
