Jyotiraditya Scindia waves at supporters after being arrested in Jaora

Senior Congress leader and a member of parliament from Guna Jyotiraditya Scindia and Jhabua-Ratlam MP Kantilal Bhuria were arrested by police for defying prohibitory orders in Ratlam on Tuesday afternoon. Ahead of their arrest, the police made an announcement about their arrest at Toll Plaza, Jaora in Ratlam. After their arrest, the leaders were taken to a nearby school building in a police vehicle. Earlier, Scindia and Bhuria staged a sit-in at the toll plaza in Ratlam district on Tuesday afternoon to lodge his protest as police didn't allow him to proceed further on his way to Mandsaur. A large number of Congressmen joined Scindia in the protest defying repeated announcements by the district administration to disperse them as prohibitory orders were issued under section 144 of CrPC in the district. The Congress workers raised slogans against the government.
