Updated on Feb 28, 2020 07:24 pm IST

Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Wednesday refused to comment on the ongoing political crisis in the state. Kumaraswamy was asked about the Supreme Court's verdict on the Karnataka rebel MLAs. The SC said that the MLAs can't be forced to attend the trust vote scheduled for Thursday. The top court added that the Speaker should be free to take a decision on the resignations. As many as 16 MLAs have quit since July 7 pushing the Congress-JD(S) coalition government to the brink of collapse.
