Supreme Court, on Sunday, heard petitions filed by Indian National Congress, Nationalist Congress Party and Shiv Sena against the formation of a new Maharashtra government under Devendra Fadnavis. The apex court asked the Centre to produce two sets of correspondence - one sent by Governor Bhagat Koshyari to Fadnavis inviting him to form the government, and letters of support of MLAs submitted by Fadnavis to the Governor. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena accused NCP turncoat and new Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar of submitting 'forged documents' to the Governor.
