Man threatens to jump from Delhi hospital building, spits at rescuers

Major drama was witnessed at Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital on Sunday. A man threatened to jump from the building, claiming he was Covid-19 positive. However the doctors denied that he was infected. The man also threatened to cut his wrists and infect his rescuers if they came too close. He also spat at doctors and police personnel trying to save him. Eventually, he was rescued, sedated and taken to his ward. Hospital authorities said that he was an orthopaedic patient and had a breakdown.
