Motilal Vora passes away at 93; President, PM Modi & others pay tribute

Veteran Congress leader Motilal Vora passed away at a Delhi hospital. The senior Congressman had recently recovered from Covid-19 and had turned 93 on Saturday. He had served as a Rajya Sabha member four times and as a Lok Sabha member once. He had also held the offices of the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. Political leaders from across the spectrum including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Congress president Rahul Gandhi paid their tributes to the departed leader. 'Shri Motilal Vora Ji was among the senior-most Congress leaders, who had vast administrative and organisational experience in a political career that spanned decades. Saddened by his demise.
