Navratri | Devotees throng temples; Surat women get ‘Howdy Modi’ tattoos

People celebrate Navratri, Durga Puja across different parts of the country with fervour. Devotees offered prayers on the first day at Vaishno Devi temple in J&K's Katra on 29 September. Navratri is a nine day festival where Goddess Durga is worshipped. Hundreds of devotees thronged Assam's Kamakhya Temple. Women in Gujarat's Surat celebrated by getting inked with unusual body paint tattoo designs. The designs range from Chandrayaan-2 to Howdy Modi.
