Updated on Feb 23, 2020 08:08 pm IST
Workers of the Nationalist Congress Party staged a protest outside the residence of Maharashtra Water Conservation Minister Tanaji Sawant. The protest was over a remark made by the minister in the aftermath of the recent Tiware dam breach in which over 15 people had died. Sawant had claimed that a lot of crabs had gathered near the dam and caused the breach, leading to flooding of many villages located downstream. The NCP protestors threw crabs outside the minister's house and wore crab masks too.
