‘Not internationalising’: Govt counters Opposition over EU MPs’ tour of J&K

Amid a barrage of criticism from the Opposition parties over the trip to Jammu and Kashmir of a delegation of EU lawmakers, the government responded on Thursday. Raveesh Kumar, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs rubbished claims that the foreign delegation's visit was tantamount to inviting international interference in the Jammu and Kashmir issue. 23 Members of European Parliament had visited the erstwhile state in their personal capacity. They had met Army officials, and civil society members during their trip.
