‘Pakistan has become pawn of China due to CPEC’: IAF Chief RKS Bhadauria

IAF Chief RKS Bhadauria called Pakistan a 'pawn' in the Chinese policy. He said that Pakistan's increasing CPEC related debt trap will lead to further military dependencies in the future. The IAF chief said that China's aspirations are on the global front. He added that regional domination is part of China's route to global leadership. “Pakistan has increasingly become a pawn in the Chinese policy. Under an increasing CPEC related debt trap there will be further military dependencies in the future. US exit from Afghanistan has opened increased options for China through Pakistan,” Bhadauria said. He added, “We are all aware that China's main aspiration is quite clearly on the global front. Regional domination is part of the route to global leadership that they aspire.”
