PM Modi highlights CAG role in plan to make India $5 trillion economy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi underlined the Comptroller and Auditor General's role in his government's plan to double the Indian economy's size. The Prime Minister was addressing a Conclave of Accountants General and Deputy Accountants General organised by the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General. PM said that the CAG's actions affect the efficiency of the government as well as businesses. He said that CAG's actions also influence investment in the country as well as ease of doing business.
