PM Modi releases Rs 100 coin to honour Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia

PM Modi releases a commemorative coin of Rs 100 in honour of Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia. Minted by Ministry of Finance, the coin was released in celebration of her birth centenary. PM Modi said, “At the time of Ekta Yatra, Vijaya Raje Scindiaji introduced me as Narendra Modi, the youth leader of Gujarat. After so many years, today her Narendra is standing here as the PM with fond memories of her.” The prime minister hailed her for sacrificing a life of comfort to fight for her ideals and serving people. He added, “About women power, Rajmata Scindia used to say specifically that those hands which can rock a cradle, can also rule the world. Today, India's women are excelling in every sector.
