PMC Bank crisis: 2 elderly demonstrators fall ill during protest against RBI

Account-holders at Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative Bank staged a protest against the Reserve Bank of India. The demonstration was held near the RBI headquarters in Maharashtra's Mumbai. The protestors were seen displaying placards and shouting slogans. An elderly woman and man also fell ill during the demonstration. They were helped by the other protestors and the police. RBI has imposed a Rs 40,000 daily withdrawal limit on PMC accounts following the revelation of an alleged fraud at the bank. This limit can be exceeded in case of medical emergencies.
