Prem Nath Bazaz: The misunderstood Kashmiri Pandit

Kashmiri Pandits were an influential minority in the Dogra Hindu kingdom of Kashmir in British India. Muslims, the majority population, was the deprived class. Premnath Bazaz, a Kashmiri Pandit was key to bringing both communities to work together in a common platform. He was the comrade of Sheikh Abdullah, Kashmir's first mass leader, and was even a champion of Kashmiris' right to self-determination even till the '80s -- a stand unthinkable for Kashmiri Pandits today and for most of mainland India.
