‘Rahul Gandhi can’t spend 12 hours in jail’: BJP’s Fadnavis on Savarkar row

Bharatiya Janata Party's Devendra Fadnavis criticised Indian National Congress' Rahul Gandhi for mocking VD Savarkar. The former Chief Minister of Maharashtra said that Savarkar had been imprisoned for 12 years by the British and Gandhi wouldn't be able to spend even 12 hours in jail. INC ally Nationalist Congress Party's Chhagan Bhujbal also commented on the controversy. A day earlier, Gandhi had said that he won't apologise for telling the truth as his surname was not Savarkar. BJP had sought his apology over his remarks on rape incidents.
