Updated on Mar 06, 2020 08:42 pm IST
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on his government's decision to accord ownership rights to residents of many of Delhi's unauthorised colonies. Around 40 lakh people are expected to benefit because of the government's decision. PM Modi said that the move would be dictated by the government's mantra of 'sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas'. He said that all the residents of these colonies would benefit, irrespective of religion or political allegiance. The move came ahead of Assembly elections in Delhi which are just months away.
