‘Savarkar put forward proposal to divide country’: Bhupesh Baghel

Politics over BJP'S proposal to give Bharat Ratna to Veer Savarkar refuses to die down. Now, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has hit out at Savarkar saying that he had proposed to divide the country. Baghel also added that he had sought clemency from the British and was named as a conspirator in Mahatma Gandhi's murder. The controversy erupted after BJP in its Maharasthtra manifesto said that it would propose Savarkar's name for Bharat Ratna.
