SC orders review of internet suspension in Kashmir in 7 days: The key points

The Supreme Court ordered immediate review of internet suspension in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Justice Ramana said that restrictions on fundamental rights cannot be done by arbitrary exercise of power. Freedom of speech and expression includes right to internet within Article 19 of the Constitution of India, said the apex court. Restrictions have been imposed on internet access in Kashmir since the abrogation of special status in the valley.
