Schemes worth Rs 21,000 crore to clean Ganga have been approved: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched multiple projects and gave a detailed account of how the government had started changing the face of the city, counted among the country's most holy. Underlining river Ganges cleanliness work, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday informed that efforts are being made to clean the holy river from Gangotri to Ganga Sagar. He added that schemes worth Rs 21,000 crore approximately of over 200 projects have been approved towards cleaning of river Ganga. The Prime Minister launched various development projects worth over Rs 500 crore in Varanasi.
