BJP leader and I&B Minnister Smriti Irani called a press conference on March 29 to question Congress leader Kapil Sibal on a land deal he made in 2013. Irani, quoting from South African news websites, said that Sibal and his wife acquired ownership of a company from Piyoosh Goyal, chairperson of Worlds Window Group, who was being investigated by the CBI for money laundering cases under the UPA rule. The minister also asked if this was acceptable to Rahul Gandhi. Sibal has rejected ass accusations and has criticised Irani for bringing Rahul Gandhi into the matter.
