Sushant case: Bail plea of Rhea, Showik & 4 others rejected in drug angle probe

A special court in Mumbai rejected the bail applications of Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and four other persons arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau for their alleged involvement in a drugs case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput's death. Along with Rhea and Showik, four other accused - Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda, house help Dipesh Sawant, Bandra residents Zaid Vilatra and Abdel Basit Parihar - had moved the court for bail. Rhea and Showik's lawyer Satish Maneshinde confirmed that the special court rejected the bail plea of all six persons. In her bail plea in the special court, Rhea had stated she was innocent and accused the NCB of 'falsely implicating' her in the case. The 28-year-old actor had said she was coerced into making 'self-incriminatory' confessions by NCB and that she was withdrawing them.
