Tata launches Nano

The Tatas launched their much-awaited 'people's car' as the Nano has come to be called. While its launch sent an entire army of mediamen into a tizzy, jostling for a space to cover the mega-event at Delhi's Pragati Maidan on Friday, that the 'small wonder' has cleared crash tests and is Euro IV and Bharat III compliant is no little wonder. Group chairman Ratan Tata says the car has ample safety features. And that it will be environment friendly. "The car will be priced at Rs 1 lakh. A promise is a promise," he adds.
