‘Tom Vadakkan not a big leader’ says Rahul Gandhi after spokesman joins BJP

A day after Congress spokesperson Tom Vadakkan quit the party and joined arch-rival Bharatiya Janata Party, Rahul Gandhi dismissed the event as inconsequential. When questioned by reporters in Raipur about the move, the Congress President said that Tom Vadakkan is not a big leader, and then proceeded to fire salvos at the BJP-led NDA government. While being inducted into the BJP, Vadakkan had cited the Congress' stand post the air strikes by India in Pakistan's Balakot, as the main reason for his decision to switch sides.
