Wardha: Alleged stalking victim’s death sparks anger, CM Uddhav vows action

Maharashtra Chief Minister commented on the death of a woman lecturer in an alleged stalking attack. The 24-year-old had been set ablaze on February 3, 2020. She succumbed to her injuries a week later. Her death sparked protests in Wardha. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray promised strict action and swift punishment of the accused. Police had arrested Vicky Nagrale on the day of the incident. Doctors said that the victim's condition started deteriorating around 4 am on February 10, and she was declared dead at 6:55 am.
