Watch | Abandoned by mother, lion cub finds foster parent in caretaker

A lion cub, abandoned by its mother, has started recognising its caretaker as a foster parent in Rajasthan's Jodhpur. An Asiatic lioness gave birth to three cubs on October 22 at the Machiya Safari Park in Jodhpur, but soon deserted them, leading to the death of two. The park's rescue centre is looking after the third cub and feeding it milk at an interval of every four hours. They forest officials will try to rehabilitate the cub back to its actual habitat after four-five months when it gains weight and is able to defend itself.
