Watch | ISRO successfully launches PSLV carrying eight satellites

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Monday launched the PSLV-C35 from the first launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The launch vehicle carried 8 satellites -three each from India and Algeria and one each from Canada and the US. It blasted off from Sriharikota at 9:12 am. The SCATSAT-1 on PSLV–C35 was released first into a 730 km Polar Sun-synchronous Orbit (SSO) after about 17 minutes and the rest will be injected into a lower orbit of 689 km after around two hours. The flight is PSLV's longest ever.
