President Kovind led the nation in paying tribute to the father of the nation. Leaders from across party lines gathered at Rajghat to play floral tributes to the Mahatma. Interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi was also present at Rajghat and paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi. Both the BJP and the Congress have planned separate events to honour the Mahatma on his 150th birth anniversary.
